The Pretender on DVD

The Pretender (Season 1) DVD for Region 1 (US and Canada includes Caribbean) has hit stores since March 22nd. For some people who were smart enough to pre-order early, it arrived as early as March 15th.

The DVD set features a three-part "Making-of" featurette, commentaries on two episodes, by the creators, one of which includes comments by Jon Gries; and original TV spots.

Second season set (already in preparation) will include some kind of interview with James 'Jamie' Denton (Desperate Housewives) among others. Expect a Season 2 DVD announcement within the next months!

• The Pretender has been watched in at least 36 countries around the world.


• Andrea Parker says this about what she wants to see if more movies are made: I want to see Jarod find his family. I want to see Miss Parker leave the Centre and join Jarod. (I think Andrea Parker is a shipper LOL)


• The idea of using PEZ in The Pretender came from Michael T. Weiss himself who wanted "something that Jarod missed when he was a child"


• Rumor has it that both Andrea and Michael T. Weiss called to ask Jamie Denton to come back to the show when he had originally turned down an offer to return.

• Andrea Parker was supposed to wear a miniskirt in the pilot scene where she comes off the helicopter but she reminded producers of the cold weather and vowed to wear a miniskirt if they wore one too!! LMAO!


• One of SLM's fave lines in the pilot (which NBC wanted to cut): Miss Parker saying "I did a lot of frat boys in college" (Lmao again!)


• In a chat with fans, Jamie Denton said that both he and Andrea have strongly expressed their interest in returning to do more Pretender movies.
