"The Dentist"

One of Andrea's guest starring roles was on the sitcom Ellen. In this S2 episode "The Dentist" Andrea plays "Joanna," the girlfriend of Ellen's best friend (whose name I can't remember!). This cap is from the first scene (after the prelude) of the ep where Ellen and Joanna are playing pool.
This pic is also from the "pool" scene. The lucky guy has "Joanna" in his lap and suddenly he looks more desirable to women!
This pic is from a later scene where "Joanna" is getting change for the meter. She is told she has to buy something to get change.

Less Than Perfect Taping - Final Ep S4

The final episode of Season 4 of "Less Than Perfect" was taped on November 22nd, 2005 at a CBS Studio in Studio City, California. (N.B. Attendees met at the Church parking lot on the corner of Colfax and Moorpark then rode a shuttle to the studio - this was not optional as I thought!)
At the taping, the cast were introduced and came out together (for the most part) then stayed around while Sara Rue spoke to the audience, before disappearing at the back as they started taping scenes. Some of the cast members were a little teary because they are aware it may be the last episode of the series. Andrea Parker looked so beautiful! Everyone else looked almost as good! lol The episode was very good, some really hilarious moments and lines, making me wish and hope there will be more to come. The cast were very good, they only had to do a few re-takes...didn't seem as much as I expected. Kudos to them!
After the taping, the cast stayed around because they had to bring out champagne and a cake with tiny models of all the characters on it. It was a great opportunity to get pictures...if only they allowed you to bring cameras!!

World Poker Tour Ladies Night III

Rumor has it that Andrea will be at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California on August 31st for the “Ladies’ Poker Party” tournament part of WPT Ladies Night III to Benefit Breast Cancer Research. I hope it's true although the WPT official site says otherwise. The August 31st event is a preliminary round and the winner will go on to take part in the televised WPT Ladies Night III tournament. I hope Andrea wins if she attends!!

Kitchen Confidential

Andrea guest starred in this Fox comedy pilot about Jack Bourdain, a once famous chef who hit rock bottom and is climbing his way back up. In the episode: Exile on Main Street (Pilot), Andrea played Jack's current girlfriend, Suze. Suze leaves Jack by the end of the episode so there's no telling if Andrea will have any more guest appearances on the show which will premiere in the fall.

Andrea Parker DVD Collection

I've started mine, you should start yours too! Even if she has smaller roles in many of these, you have to appreciate the calibre of shows that Andrea has appeared in. I'm impressed. Some of these are the longest-running shows on primetime TV. She knew how to pick a hit! At least it certainly seems that way...the Pretender is one such except of course, it was cancelled before its time, but that was just NBC being Nasty By Choice! lol On to the DVDs!

The Starring Roles

The Pretender Season 1 and Season 2 DVD
Andrea plays Miss Parker and Catherine Parker and her acting is superbly brilliant.

The Other Roles
Ed McBain's 87th Precinct: Ice (1996)
Andrea's role: Det. Eileen Burke, a tough, independent, risk-taker who has a taste for sting ops. She helps take down a serial rapist.

ER Season 1 and Season 2
Andrea guest stars as Linda Farrell in several episodes, mainly in S1, but worthy of mention is the Emmy-winning episode: Hell or High Water from Season 2.

Ellen Season 2 DVD (1994)
Andrea guest stars as Joanna in the premiere episode of Season 2: The Dentist, hailed as one of the funniest of the season set.

Body Shot (1994)
Another small role for Andrea in this one. DVD is currently unavailable except at a very high price!

The Naked Truth (1992)
Andrea has a small part in what has been described as an uproariously funny movie. Completists have to have it. At $3.29 you really can't go wrong!

Seinfeld Season 4 (1992)
Andrea plays a nurse in the Emmy-winning episode, The Contest, from Season 4. This is the season which brought Seinfeld it's first Emmy for best comedy series.

Married...with Children (1989)
Andrea is a Go-Go Dancer in episodes 52 and 53: "Married... with Prom Queen: Part 1 and the Sequel" from Season 3.

Earth Girls Are Easy (1988)
In this movie, starring Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum, Andrea has an uncredited role as a dancer.

Less Than Perfect - Fourth Season!!

Less Than Perfect will return to ABC for a fourth season. Congrats to the cast and crew! "Good job!" to the fans who wrote in or called to support the show!

Now for the "good news, bad news": Only 13 episodes have been ordered and LTP is not on the schedule for the start of the season so this means we won't get to see them till somewhere in midseason, hopefully before! Look out for more great camaraderie and cattiness come 2006 (hopefully earlier)!! The upside? Ms. Parker will have free time to seek out other roles: maybe a Pretender movie? Yes!! There is also speculation she will be doing guest spots on Fox' Kitchen Confidential.

Chicago Sun Times bats for Less Than Perfect

They give us three reasons to bring it back!

Fine acting, writing less than likely to save sitcom

April 14, 2005

BY PAIGE WISER Staff Reporter

No, it's not perfect, but "Less Than Perfect" does not deserve to die.

This week's episode of the office sitcom (8:30 p.m. Friday on WLS-Channel 7) may be its last. For three seasons, redheaded Sara Rue has played Claude, the less-than-perfect beauty of the title ("I have 3 percent more body fat than other people in this area," she admits). We've watched her move up, from working as a temp on the fourth floor to a position as an executive assistant on the famed 22nd floor, right outside the office of network anchor Will Butler (the historically nasty Eric Roberts).

Oh, maybe we missed an episode or two. This year the show switched from Tuesdays to Fridays, and the occasional happy hour does cut into our viewing schedule. But "cancellation" is such a strong word. It seems so unfair, when even "The Bachelor" is alive and necking.

"Less Than Perfect" pits Claude and her dorky friends against their cutthroat, comely colleagues. And Claude is starting to win. "If you don't focus," advises office-supplies clerk Owen (Andy Dick), "Baby will never get out of that corner, you know what I'm saying? I think you do."

TELEVISION REVIEW

'LESS THAN PERFECT' / **
When: 8:30 p.m. Friday on WLS-Channel 7 (ABC Network)
Starring: Sara Rue, Andy Dick, Eric Roberts, Patrick Warburton, Andrea Parker, Sherri Shepherd

The writing is sharp and original. The actors are funny. There's even a fabulous wedding in the works. Then again, the best moments on the show are little ones -- while Claude is talking, for instance, Owen might be in the background scratching his eye with a stalk of celery.

But the chances for a fourth season are not good. "They are slim," says Patrick Warburton, who plays on-air pundit Jeb Denton. "The network has shown no love for the show."

This is an actor who knows heartbreak. He famously dated Elaine as Puddy on "Seinfeld," and starred on such critically-acclaimed-but-doomed series as "NewsRadio" and "The Tick." He is braced for bad news. "It's really hard to disappoint me at this point," he says, on the phone from a Carl's Jr. drive-through.

Executive producer Gene Stein is more optimistic. "Cautiously optimistic," he says. "I think we have a real shot at coming back." He'd like to see Claude get more responsibilities at work, and what Jeb's married life will be like, and whether there might be plots that incorporate Owen's lesbian mothers (Joanna Kerns and Valerie Harper).

But for now, "We just want to get our fourth season," he says.

Here are three reasons why he should get one:

1. The casting

Some of the finest television actors alive are on "Less Than Perfect." And Eric Roberts, of course, is B-movie royalty ("The Prophecy II").

Andrea Parker was a cold, stiletto-heeled operative on "The Pretender" with her own cult following. Sassy Sherri Shepherd, whose chest is a supporting character on the sitcom, also can be seen in "Beauty Shop."

Will Sasso recently was added to the cast, along with Warburton, and is probably proudest of his role in Christopher Guest's "Best in Show." But some of us have a soft spot in our hearts for his mentally challenged pageant judge in "Drop Dead Gorgeous."

Maybe you tune in for Andy Dick. But you stay for the guest stars: Martin Mull, Cindy Williams, Jenny McCarthy, Barry Bostwick, Trista Rehn, Tori Spelling, Danny Bonaduce, David Cassidy; look for Christopher Knight ("The Brady Bunch," "The Surreal Life") in this week's very special episode.

2. The camaraderie

"I've been on sets that are not happy," says producer Stein. "But this happens to be a happy set." The actors even spend time with each other off the set. Rue and Dick, for instance, lobbied to be on an episode of "Trading Spaces" where Dick's home office was redecorated. (He hated it.)

3. The cattiness

Yes, Claude is the show's sweet-hearted center, but there's more than enough mean-spiritedness to satisfy cynical viewers. Some characters are self-centered; others are sincerely cruel.

Everyone is petty -- and that's what we like to see.
